More Availability & Better Rates

Don’t want to stress about competing with Spring and Summer couples for a venue space or wedding planner? A winter wedding is for you! Winter is the off season for weddings. Vendors most likely have more availability and may offer lower rates. Vendors may also have the ability to dedicate more of their attention towards your wedding if it is during off season. They will not be balancing several other clients at the same time.

Less Humidity

No one wants to be sweaty and uncomfortable, especially while wearing their nicest clothing. You and your wedding party won’t have to worry about standing around in the heat while getting photos done if a winter wedding is what you are wishing for.

Possible Snowy Wedding Photos

It depends on where the wedding is located and it’s not a guarantee it’ll snow. But winter wonderland photos would be beautiful. Couples who desire snow on their wedding day are better off looking at venues farther north in the U.S. or in more mountainous areas.

Perfect For More Dramatic Attire

Wanting yourself or guests to wear more formal attire? A holiday and winter wedding is the time. Long sleeves, darker colors, and textures like velvet, fur or sequins will be more common during this time of year. Black-tie attire is more comfortable during winter months and more fitting for the holidays such as Christmas or New Year’s.

Holiday Decor

What is more celebratory than holiday decorations? Your wedding can feature string lights, winter greenery, Christmas trees, and winter colors for the wedding party to wear. This wedding features all of the items listed above in a tasteful way. Spaces may already be decorated for the holiday season. That’s less work for the wedding couple. The venue featured in this gallery had a Christmas tree and string lights in the reception space.

Unique Wedding

A winter or holiday wedding is great for couples wanting something different. From colors, flowers, attire, atmosphere, and decor. Color schemes used for winter events tend to be deeper or jewel toned. This can be seen in guest and bridal party attire in this wedding featured. Flowers used will most likely be winter white and greenery. Attire at a winter or holiday wedding will have long sleeves, darker colors, and textures like velvet, fur or sequins. The best atmosphere for winter or holiday is cozy or rustic. The event space featured here had wood beams and warm lighting. Decor is unique in the sense that it can be holiday decor.
