There are a variety of places in Europe to have a destination wedding. Are you feeling warmer weather or cooler climates? Europe has a wide variety of settings from mountaintops to Mediterranean coasts.

1. Swiss Alps, Switzerland - The best time to have your wedding in the Swiss Alps is during the fall. There are several mountain resorts that cater towards destination weddings and offer beautiful scenery.

2. Tuscany, Italy- Tuscany brings to mind delicious food, fantastic wine, rolling hills, and romance to last a lifetime. Venues range from medieval villages, to elegant villas, and even ancient vineyards.

3. Santorini, Greece- Your ceremony can overlook the Aegean sea or the great caldera, enjoying the same view as ancient civilizations. Santorini is probably best for an elopement or small, intimate gathering. However, great restaurants, wineries, and villas will be host to your beautiful day. Santorini also makes for a great honeymoon destination as well.

4. West Ireland- Think of jagged cliffs, green countryside, stone castles, and picturesque scenery. This mystical land could be host to your dream wedding. Many of the venues available are the numerous inns and castles.

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

All four parks listed below have venue spaces available for your special day.

1. Grand Teton National Park, WY- What couple wouldn’t want stunning fall foliage and snow-capped mountain peaks in the background as they say “I do?” Grand Teton National Park offers several park sites and lodges depending on your taste, from lakeside inns to hearty lodges.

2. Yosemite National Park, CA- Imagine tying the knot in front of the ancient sequoias! This can be possible with your small wedding party. If planning to have a large guest list, an inn or lodge would work perfectly as a venue.

3. Mount Rainier National Park, WA- This park is technically an active volcano, but do not worry as it offers beautiful scenery full of meadows, forests, and rivers. Ceremony sites can be found throughout the park. Larger weddings will need to be held at one of the campground amphitheaters.

4. Rocky Mountain National Park, CO- Majestic purple mountaintops will form the backdrop for your special day. This park has several sites for you to hold your ceremony depending on your needs. One area, Hidden Valley can hold around 100 guests. It is important to keep in mind that weddings are limited to a two hour time limit. If looking for a longer time frame for your wedding, it is suggested to hold your reception at Estes Park where there are venues available.
